How to submit your abstract

The Steering Committee invites authors to submit abstracts to be considered for poster publication during the World Symposium.

All abstracts will be reviewed by the members of the Steering Committee and will be evaluated before being accepted or rejected.

Language

Each abstract must be submitted in English, no other language will be accepted.

Only submission via Internet will be considered; do not print your abstract to send it by regular mail or by e-mail.

Abstract Topics

During the abstract submission procedure, you will have to choose between two different scientific topics:
- Clinical Science
- Basic Science

Abstract Size

The abstract must be typed, single-spaced in English and must not exceed 1.700 characters (including spaces).

Abstracts not complying with these regulations will be declined.

Young Investigator Awards

The Symposium Steering Committee has decided to assign a Young Investigator Award to six of the submitted abstracts.

The awards will be assigned to the six best abstracts (three per each Topic) submitted whose first authors are:
- Younger than 40 years
- Employed in a Public Medical Structures

During the abstract submission procedure, you will be asked to specify if the abstract complies/not complies with these conditions.

Conditions of Submission

The material in the abstract must be original and must not have been published.
Studies on animals or in humans must have been performed with approval of the appropriate ethical committees.

Acknowledgement and Notification

Acknowledgement of receipt will be returned by e-mail to the presenting author by the Organizing Secretariat as soon as the abstract has been received.
Notification of acceptance for presentation or rejection will follow in the beginning of September 2012.
